NEPAL: RISING FROM RUBBLE

Nepal-Summersite-Renae-Saxby-Roark-RevivalFor some, travel is inspired by an opportunity to lend a helping hand in communities less fortunate than their own. Photographer Renae Saxby recently returned from an aid work mission in the remote villages of Nepal, a country torn apart by natural disaster. Roark’s heart was devastated when the earthquake hit the amazing country last year as we had just returned from our Volume 9: “Himalayan Halfway House” journey. Nepal Aid is still needed as it will take years to rebuild the country and get life back to normal there. With yesterday being world water day, a great way to help is through Waves For Water who have been distributing water filters in Nepal since the tragedy struck. Jump to Summersite to see more of Renae’s photos and stories form her time there.
